Design

Sometimes I like to dip my toes in graphic design. Here are couple small projects I recently completed for friends.

I created these business cards for NYC journalist Emily Nonko . The design takes inspiration from the New Yorker ,  Paris Review , and old Penguin books, for a classic, literary feel with just a touch of modernism and whimsy. The back reserves a "notes" area so Emily can jot down points of discussion before handing her card off.

I designed this mark and business card for a small security services company based in Brooklyn. The graphic eye, type, and layout are inspired by the old-school detective agencies of the 20s and 30s. To give a more contemporary feel, the eye has been refined just slightly to suggest a camera lens.
